Even though Ray Bradbury wrote Fahrenheit 451 in a week, after a police confrontation, why didn't he choose to write a sequel. He leaves the readers wanting more. After I finished the book I wanted to keep on reading. I wanted to know what happens next. This was odd, its been a while since I wanted to keep on reading in order to find out what happens next. Do Montag and Granger restore literature and communication in society? Do they pass down their knowledge and memory of literature? This is why I believe a few authors have great success. They leave their audience wanting more and soon when they do publish a book, its almost like a stampede. Their audience rush over to find out what happens next. Many industries use this technique; video games, television shows, movie production etc. Think about that feeling you get when you finish watching a movie or beating a game. You tend to feel upset because its over, yet we can't wait for the next movie/game and want more. Which I believe Ray Bradbury did well with Fahrenheit 451.
